My planet? I wouldn’t call Earth mine..
Glenda was furious. After having searched the entire castle for Fenwick - and by the entire castle, that included all of the secret passages she knew of, the kitchens, the lake, and any place his scrawny body could fit into - her rage had only grown stronger. (Not to mention that she had to travel all the way back to her dormitory to put on her uniform and look appropriate, her regular preparation time cut in half). She didn’t have any classes with the bloke, preventing her from looking for very long; but that allowed her to sit and stew over the small detail that he had owled their bloody assignment to her without any consideration of their joint grade!
If anything made her angrier than him effectively getting back at her for her outburst the day before, it was the fact that he sacrificed her grade to do it.
Glenda decided the only way she’d be able to find him was to go back to their shared common room and wait. (And wait, she did). She sat there for around an hour, the newly dubbed ‘Failed Assignment’ lying asleep on her lap as she kept an eye on both the stairs to the boys’ dormitory and the entrance to the tower. When, finally, she saw the reason behind her troubles stumble down into the common room.
She carefully placed the baby aside and she stood, tightly grasping her wand as she faced Fenwick. Directing her wand at his chest, Glenda spoke two words.
“Explain. Now.”
Benjy glanced down at the wand pointed at his chest and laughed a humourless laugh, as it was a custom for him to do so in- well, most situations. He laughed his way out of things.
“Chittock, did you really think I was going to do it all on my own? I kept her for a full day, on my own. I thought we were going to work together, but you certainly shot that to hell.” As he said these words, he felt the wand press further into his chest.
I’m dying for a drink. I have a bottle of Firewhiskey in my trunk, want to grab it and come down here? I’m by the lake.
Yes! Let me just grab my cloak too. I’ll be down soon.
It’s Friday night, what the hell, may I join you?
I left the baby with Glenda and haven’t seen her since
